Depart for a full day city tour of Accra visiting the National Museum of History and Ethnography. This museum houses a varied collection of Ghanaian artifacts. Continue to the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre for Pan Africanism, it is a Pan African Center for culture and it also has a research library and gallery full of manuscripts, the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, the Museum of Science and Technology, the Makola Market, the Artists Alliance Gallery with over three floors of art, sculpture, carvings and artifacts is a gem of a gallery full to the brim with artistic expression.
Lunch at a local restaurant
Continue to Old Accra which was divided into Dutch and British Accra as a result of the two European nations operating from different locations within the same township of a little under 1 sq. kilometer. You will drive past Fort Crêvecoeur (Ussher Fort) built by the Dutch in 1652, James Fort built by the British in 1662, Old Accra Square and the Post Office, the old light House built by the British to guide commercial ships into the Accra Harbour.
Drive past the Independence Arch and the Black Star Square-Accra's ceremonial grounds to visit the National Centre for Arts and Crafts. View from a distance, the Christiansborg Castle, the former office of the President of Ghana.

Shai Hills






Breakfast and Hotel check-out
Depart Accra to Akosombo. Stop en route at Shai Game Reserve, home to several animals such as antelopes, green monkeys and baboons. Savor the expansive savannah grassland and woodland and have a memorable experience bird watching the Senegal parrot, swallow-tailed bee-eater, Vieillot’s barbet, piapiac and the red-shouldered cuckoo shrike. Bike over a rugged 19.7km network of trails that get crossed so often by antelopes; invade a cave that hosts mischievous baboons, and abseil off a 20-metre Mogo Rock face at the Shai Hills reserve.
Transfer to Survival Island

After breakfast, engage in various kayaking and adventure activities. Take on the jungle of the sacred Anum forest on a 5.5km hike, abseil the 20-metre Discovery cliff into the gorge of Lake Volta, and pit your mental resilience and love of adventure against the waves of the world's largest man-made lake on a 7.6km kayaking foray to Survival Island.

Ntonsu (Adinkra Village)       Lake Bosomtwi






Depart after breakfast to visit a few Ashanti crafts villages including, Ahwiaa – the woodcarver’s village specializing in woodcarving such as the Ashanti stools, fertility dolls and walking sticks and Ntonso - noted for its indigenous artisans whose expertise lie in Adinkra textile printing using traditional symbols that express the spiritual, moral, political and socio-cultural philosophies of the Akan people. In the Ntonso Adinkra village you will be able to try your hand at creating your own designs. From here we will visit Visit Adanwomase well known for the traditional Kente cloth weaving. Observe weavers exhibit their skills in producing the clothes adorned some of which are a preserve for the Ashanti Kings.
Proceed to Lake Bosomtwi, the only natural lake in Ashanti Region and Ghana. It is situated within an ancient impact crater that is about 10.5 kilometres (6.5 mi) in diameter. The Lake is surrounded by about 30 villages. Visit the lake site and listen to the oral history about the discovery of this lake. Go on a boat ride on the Lake.

Depart Kumasi after breakfast to the Central Region, drive past by scenic villages and charming towns through the evergreen forests, stop en route at a palm wine tappers hut. View how palm wine is derived from the palm tree. The fermented palm wine is further distilled to obtain a very high alcohol beverage locally called “AKPETESHIE” with more than 70% content.
Continue and arrive in Elmina and proceed to visit Elmina Castle, the first and oldest European structure built of any substance on African soil. This was built by the Portuguese in1482 and later used as an auction market for a comprehensive guided tour. See the slave dungeons and condemn cells where slave who attempted to escape were incarcerated. View its utterly distinct architecture.

Breakfast and check-out
Depart to Kakum National Park. Go on a morning walk of the “Kuntan Trail” with its countless trees with medicinal properties. For the young at heart experience the “Canopy Walkway” suspended 100 feet from the forest ground for a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the remaining vestiges of the rainforest.
Lunch at Hans Cottage Botel. View the resident crocodile as you enjoy your meals.
Visit the Cape Coast Castle which was originally started by the Swedes in 1652. It served as the headquarters and seat of the British colonial government until 1877. Go on a comprehensive tour of the Castle, the Slave Dungeons and the West African Heritage Museum.

Rest of day is free to relax at the hotels beach or enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool and other facilities.

Depart to Accra. Drive along the coast through several fishing villages and coconut tree lined beaches. Arrive in Accra and check in to your hotel.
Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure

Have the experience of the various outdoor activities like; the High Rope Course - make your way through a series of platforms connected by cable, wood, and rope creating a different challenge at each platform. Canoeing- ride on a canoe for fun and experience the thrill of water. Cruise around beautiful Islands and Peninsulas which are the sanctuary for birds and their friends the Monitor Lizards.
