Breakfast
Depart for a full day city tour of Accra visiting the National Museum of History and Ethnography. This museum houses a varied collection of Ghanaian artifacts. Continue to the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre for Pan Africanism, it is a Pan African Center for culture and it also has a research library and gallery full of manuscripts, the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, the Museum of Science and Technology, the Makola Market, the Artists Alliance Gallery with over three floors of art, sculpture, carvings and artifacts is a gem of a gallery full to the brim with artistic expression.
Lunch at a local restaurant
Continue to Old Accra which was divided into Dutch and British Accra as a result of the two European nations operating from different locations within the same township of a little under 1 sq. kilometer. You will drive past Fort Crêvecoeur (Ussher Fort) built by the Dutch in 1652, James Fort built by the British in 1662, Old Accra Square and the Post Office, the old light House built by the British to guide commercial ships into the Accra Harbour.
Drive past the Independence Arch and the Black Star Square-Accra's ceremonial grounds to visit the National Centre for Arts and Crafts. View from a distance, the Christiansborg Castle, the former office of the President of Ghana.

Breakfast
Depart for a drive to a beautiful village called Torgome, located on the lower course of the splendid Volta River. You will have the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on the paramount chief and elders amidst traditional drumming and dancing by the villages and also participate in a naming ceremony, where you will be given a traditional African name. Also participate in a demonstration of pottery making, basket and Kente weaving which are the main occupation in the village.
Lunch
After lunch continue to Somanya and visit Cedi Beads Factory to observe the bead-making process. Watch the centuries old process of bead making from start to finish. Learn, and discover the art of bead making. Have the opportunities to buy some beads as souvenirs for family and friends back home.

Depart and drive through many scenic villages and charming towns. Note the changes from coastal shrubs to forest belt.
Arrive in Kumasi and go for city tour of Kumasi visiting the Manhyia Palace and the Palace Museum which provides a good insight into Ashanti culture and traditions, and the history of the Ashanti Kingdom which is over 300 years old. It provides a good glimpse into the powerful ancient Ashanti Empire and its past kings. See the National Cultural Centre and Prempeh II Jubilee Museum.

Depart Kumasi after breakfast to the Central Region, drive past by scenic villages and charming towns through the evergreen forests, stop en route at a palm wine tappers hut. View how palm wine is derived from the palm tree. The fermented palm wine is further distilled to obtain a very high alcohol beverage locally called “AKPETESHIE” with more than 70% content.
Continue and arrive in Elmina and proceed to visit Elmina Castle, the first and oldest European structure built of any substance on African soil. This was built by the Portuguese in1482 and later used as an auction market for a comprehensive guided tour. See the slave dungeons and condemn cells where slave who attempted to escape were incarcerated. View its utterly distinct architecture.

Depart to Kakum National Park. Go on a morning walk of the “Kuntan Trail” with its countless trees with medicinal properties. For the young at heart experience the “Canopy Walkway” suspended 100 feet from the forest ground for a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the remaining vestiges of the rainforest.
Lunch at Hans Cottage Botel. View the resident crocodile as you enjoy your meals.
Visit the Cape Coast Castle which was originally started by the Swedes in 1652. It served as the headquarters and seat of the British colonial government until 1877. Go on a comprehensive tour of the Castle, the Slave Dungeons and the West African Heritage Museum.
